Barclay has founded and built leading companies in emerging and rapidly growing sectors over a 25 year period. He is currently the Chairman and CEO of ProCapital, LLC
a private investment company. He was the CEO and Founder of NTL Inc. (the largest broadband/cable company in the UK), Clearband (wireless broadband), Cellular One Communications (the first publicly traded US cellular company), Cellular Communications of Puerto Rico, Inc., and CoreComm LLC. He was named Telecommunications Executive of the Year by The Financial Times. He earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in Mathematics from The Johns Hopkins University, where he served as a member of the Board of Trustees for over 10 years, and is now a Senior Fellow in the Center for Financial Economics at Hopkins.
Pooyan has been helping build, finance, and grow companies in the telecom, broadband, and Internet sectors for over the past 15 years. His quest to build a real social search engine started after he was misled by a positive online review posted by an anonymous source. “We’re all thinking the same thing this review is written by a competitor, a customer with an axe to grind, or someone whose taste is so different that I couldn’t care less what he or she thinks. I want to enable everyone to easily tap into the collective knowledge of their friends and friends of friends to make better purchasing decisions.” He earned an MBA from both the Columbia Business School and the London Business School.
Omid has spent the last 15 years working for data driven Internet companies in sectors ranging from business intelligence to automotive data management. Taming unruly data tables and queries larger than the most people can fathom is something he takes pride in doing, in addition to making sure CliqSearch technologies are leveraging the latest web and Internet technologies. Omid is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania.
Jason is the business development manager and overall utility player at CliqSearch. He’s always focused on finding new partners and affiliates interested in leveraging the CliqSearch technology. Prior to joining the company he worked at a boutique private equity firm and in corporate finance for a fortune 500 company. He is a graduate of The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Doug is our Principal Software Engineer and drives our back-end and database development. He has been coding software for way too long and focuses on open source technologies. At CliqSearch, Doug is responsible for introducing new technologies, system administration, IT infrastructure, software development and general comic relief.
Yang is a senior software engineer focused on user interfaces and back end development. Prior to joining CliqSearch Yang worked for an Internet company developing mobile based applications. Yang has a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from St. Joseph’s University and has slowly begun to tolerate the rest of the team.
Brian has been programming for 16 years, and is only 20 years old. He is a Senior Software Engineer focused on user interfaces and front end development. Prior to joining CliqSearch, Brian worked for several less cool start-ups. When not coding, Brian studies Russian and Physics, and no one fully understands why. He is a graduate of Rutgers University.
Kathleen graduated from Penn College with a B.S. in Graphic Design and earned a degree in Web Design from the Art Institute of Philadelphia. She is instrumental in making the code the engineers build, look and function properly on any screen. As the resident hipster, she injects an element of “realness” often missing from Internet companies.
