These were patently false statements executed with malice designed to intimidate! I do regret that you and other advertisers were ever put in this position. Clear Channel should have shown more respect for it’s clients and listeners and fired him. However, since they refuse to do the right thing we are appealing to you to do the right thing to protect your reputation. “I was very surprised when I heard Blinds.com ran an ad spot on WOAI during the Rush Limbaugh Show. Limbaugh is a known sexist who totally disrespects women. My wife and I force ourselves to listen to his disgusting show so we and our friends and neighbors know which businesses to boycott. The names of those businesses whose ad spots continue to be played in the Rush Limbaugh Show block of time are added to a boycott list daily. This list is available to anyone, but it is especially used by the tens of thousands, yes tens of thousands, of American consumers actively involved in the boycott. You must realize that any connections to this controversial entertainer can’t do your business any good. Why not contact the sales representative at WOAI and demand that your ads not be placed in the three hours a day Limbaugh broadcasts on their station? They may tell you this is impossible, but hundreds of advertisers across the USA have successfully had their ad spots moved away from Rush Limbaugh’s three hours on the air. WOAI has many hours of decent programming. Please find a program to sponsor that really treats women decently.”
