2012 Worldwide LGBT Civil Rights March April 21, 2012 12 Noon – 6 PM (all rights to this event protected & reserved by EHP, LLC 9/24/2011) AN ESPRESSO HOUSE EVENT by the creator LET’S REACH 1 MILLION PEOPLE CAMPAIGN…It’s a start! LGBT EQUALITY https://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/letsreach1millionpeoplecampaignlgbtequality/ EVENT PAGE: https://www.facebook.com/#!/event.php?eid=217923068269572 (photo courtesy of dreamstime.com)(all rights to this event protected & reserved by EHP, LLC 9/24/2011)AN ESPRESSO HOUSE EVENT... (photo courtesy of dreamstime.com) HELP US BRING YOUR COUNTRY AND THE LGBT COMMUNITY ON BOARD FOR THE 2012 WORLDWIDE LGBT CIVIL RIGHTS MARCHES... We could really use your advice and expertise for the 2012 Worldwide LGBT Civil Rights Marches scheduled for April 21, 2012! They are coming together nicely, but we could always use insight from others as we come into the final stretch of planning and organizing. The International Committee would like to invite and welcome your participation in the final planning of this event; we are approaching the 3 month period prior to the marches and are pulling out all the stops to bring other countries on board and have the LGBT+ community in all countries represented in this historic event. This event has been in the making for several months after a study was performed to determine the proper timing and structure for these marches. The window of opportunity worldwide is about as far open as it will ever be for this event to take place with 2012 being an election year in America, as well as the earlier speech by our own Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, in addition to actions at the United Nations. The LGBT community must continue this drive and build on this momentum in advancing our chances for BASIC HUMAN RIGHTS worldwide. It is not so much as to what the committee thinks specifically needs to be accomplished in various countries around the world as we know there are various issues specific to each country and that is why the marches are structured the way they are so each specific issue can be addressed accordingly by each individual country, as well as a showing of solidarity among the LGBT communities worldwide of the need for Basic Human Rights for all LGBT throughout the world. There is much to be said for a showing of support by all LGBT throughout the world regardless of their own situation at home. We all know the horrific situations for many LGBT throughout various countries and this showing of support by all of our brothers and sisters worldwide definitely does go a long way to show societies and governments worldwide of the need for all citizens, regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation, to be able to live a life according to the same laws and guarantees available to most other segments of society. These marches will be a huge tool in this education and enlightenment process throughout the world! We realize the marches may mean different things and take on different meanings in certain countries, but one thing all of us have in common is that discrimination stills abounds throughout the world in regards to the LGBT and these marches are a great tool to educate and enlighten societies and governments just what these areas of discrimination are. If you read through our disclosure document you will see that even here in America, we have senators that truly believe there is no discrimination against the LGBT and that is truly so sad. How can we expect changes to certain laws when many of the lawmakers are truly ignorant of the actual facts. This event is different than most any of the past in that we are bringing the event to the people and their communities around the world where the majority of society congregates and exposes themselves to the issues at hand, rather than requiring the traveling of participants and interested members of society to a central location that many could not afford, with the committee spending thousands upon thousands of dollars on enough attractions to entice them to show up, let alone those members of society that really need this education would in all likelihood not travel to attend anyway. The exposure and reach of our campaign extends much further in this type of a structure, as well as the politicians at all levels of government are more likely to attend or send their aides or official spokespersons to these Town hall type of marches and events scheduled worldwide. I am enclosing the final draft of the disclosure document for the marches and would appreciate any feedback you could give; look it over and let us know how you would like to assist in any aspect with this event to bring representation of your country to this worldwide event. http://thegaylyblogger.blogspot.com/2011/12/2012-worldwide-lgbt-civil-rights.html Sincerely, Arturo Schultz, International Committee Communications Director P.S.
