“Today was "pick the beer day." There is no doubt that everyone enjoyed tasting our 15 taps this past weekend, since we have 14 empty kegs~! Foxy’s opened with local Baltimore gypsy brewer Brian Strumke of Stillwater Artisanal Ales, a Belgian Ale- As Follows. Stillwater Artisanal Ales last year, 2011, was came in #2 in the WORLD- as best new brewer. This week we continue pouring out our local support by offering another beautiful work of art- CELLAR DOOR- ON TAP~~ a Belgian White (Witbier) Considered to be the best Belgian White in America by RateBeer. Prost!l This beer comes in at 6.6%. There is no better way to bring on the summertyme than with a Belgian White which so they say "should be served with light cheeses or mussels." You don’t have to tell me twice. FOXY’S ROCKS THE MUSSELS!! tap #1 = STILLWATER - CELLAR DOOR. Ratebeer gives this one a score of 98 overall and 100 pts for style. In comparison- another Belgian White- Shocktop, received 19 pts overall and 9 pts for style. *hence the orange slice needed for flavor. Of course, none of this will matter when its 120 degrees in the shade come July. That’s when you say, Karen- "ice cold beer, now please!" There is no place like home~ MARYLAND... (the Eastern Shore!) without a doubt - No one does it better. So, We will also have two other local wheats- MAGIC Hefeweizen, perfectly done right by St. Michael’s own Eastern Shore Brewing and just a Hop, Trip and Legal Joint down the road in Dover- Fordham’s - Wisteria Wheat... and to kick it up just a notch- a Dogfish Head Brewery collaboration with Victory Beer and Stone Brewing Co. a 6.8% Saison or better known as a Farmhouse Ale (brewed in the winter by farmers to drink during the hot summer months.) SAISON DU BUFF. (Brewers United for Freedom of Flavor, formed by those three in 2003) Well, that’s FOUR out of the FOURTEEN.... that guy must be crazy. ”
